Kathleen Kemly
Kathleen Kemly grew up in Michigan and studied art at Parsons School of Design in New York. After working in toy packaging design in NY for a few years she and her husband Brian began moving west. They eventually landed in Seattle where they now live, with many pets and two grown sons nearby.

Kathleen does illustrations for children’s books, magazines and posters using watercolor and pastel. She has exhibited her pastel drawings in Seattle. Kathleen has worked with children as an artist in residence for middle school students. She is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and a recipient of the Seattle Arts Council Arts in Education Grant.
